Instant Pot Apple Cake



A delicious and moist apple cake made effortlessly in the Instant Pot. Perfect for a cozy dessert or snack!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups peeled, cored, and diced apples such as Granny Smith
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional

Instructions:

Put flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice in a medium-sized bowl and mix them together with a whisk

Softened butter and sugar should be mixed together in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy

Slowly add the eggs, making sure to mix well after each one

Add vanilla extract and stir

Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing in the sour cream every so often

Don't mix any further than that

You can add nuts and diced apples, if you want

The Instant Pot's inner pot should be greased, and the batter should be poured into it and spread out evenly

Put a trivet in the Instant Pot and add one cup of water

The Instant Pot should be set to Manual mode for 35 minutes at high pressure

Lock the lid

After the cooking time is up, let the pressure go down naturally for 10 minutes

Then, release any remaining pressure by hand

Take the cake out of the Instant Pot carefully and let it cool down before cutting it
